Available adults
When we bring a new dog into our home and our program, we always intend it to be for life, and so long as the dogs are happy, we’re happy. The hard truth, however, is that not every dog likes living in a large pack and sharing our attention and affection with the group. We have to put their needs first.
It’s a gut-wrenching decision to make, but sometimes we have to let beloved adult toy Australian Shepherds go on to new homes so they can live up to their true potential and thrive. We may occasionally have adult toy Aussies available, and if so, they will be listed on this page. These dogs are our family – we will be very picky about where they go so we can find the best possible fit for them. Please inquire if you think one of these special dogs might be right for you.
Tails of Smashing the Pastryarchy VHMA ATD “Strudel”
I raised Strudel from birth and fell in love with him when he was just days old. That love and our connection has only grown over our two years together. Unfortunately, as he matured, he began to challenge the other dogs in the house, and I believe he will be happier in a quieter household where he can be the only dog, and where not a lot of people he doesn’t know come over. He is best friends with our very friendly, playful, and tolerant cat, and I think he could potentially get along with other small animals as well. He is a timid little guy and he will never be a dog park dog or social with people outside his circle. But once he’s gotten to know you, he is a clever, darling, goofy, and playful dog whose antics will bring a lot of love and laughter into your life.
